Why have a mineral site?
A mineral site will improve your herd health and aid your herd in reaching genetic potential in the wild.

Where is the best place to create a mineral site? Deer feel secure in dense thick cover. The best place for a mineral site is 3-6 feet off a well used trail or feeding area!

How do I create a mineral site? Take a shovel and break up the soil in a 1-2 foot circle, 3-6 inches of depth. Mix Ideal Northern Edge Monster Mineral into the broken up soil and your lick is complete!

How many mineral sites are needed for an adequate supply for a herd? The number of mineral sites needed is based on acreage. 2 licks per 60 acres of land is general adequate, depending on herd size on the habitat. Once you have observed he usage of the licks, you can better determine the number of sites needed.

Apply every 3 months for best results!!

Shipping Policy

At Standish Milling, we're committed to delivering your products in a timely and cost-effective manner. Here's some information to help you understand our shipping costs.

UPS Ground Shipping

We primarily use UPS Ground for our shipping. The cost of shipping is calculated based on the weight of your order and your location. UPS Ground offers reliable, cost-effective delivery for packages under 150 lbs.

You can estimate your shipping costs by adding items to your cart and entering your shipping address. Our system will automatically calculate the shipping costs before you proceed to checkout.

LTL (Less Than Truckload) Shipping

For larger orders over 150 lbs, we use Less Than Truckload (LTL) shipping. LTL shipping is a cost-effective way to ship large orders by combining shipments from multiple customers.

Here's how it works:

  1. You get a quote: When you add items to your cart that total more than 150 lbs, our system will provide an LTL shipping quote. This quote is based on the total weight of your order and your shipping address.

  2. Your order is shipped: Once your order is ready, we send it to the shipping carrier who combines it with other shipments going in the same direction. This process allows us to save on shipping costs and pass those savings onto you.

  3. Your order is delivered: The carrier will deliver your order to your specified address. Keep in mind that delivery times for LTL shipments may be longer than UPS Ground shipments due to the consolidation process.
